The new Murex Tradestig 150 and 220 TIG Welding machines are professional welding tools suitable for indoor and outdoor repair and maintenance work in production, fabrication and civil construction and process industry applications.

The Tradestig brand is synonymous with robust and durable welding performance for the professional welder.  Compact in design, the units feature an impact resistant polymer and aluminium casing. They are light and easy to carry and the large heat sinks provide a cool running machine.   The design also helps to keep all sensitive internal components inside the machine clean and dust free which gives a longer life expectancy, even in harsh industrial environments.

Built in accordance with IP23, which means they can be used outdoors, the Tradestigs are equipped with a Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit making it possible to use the full range of the machines on a 16 A fuse. The PFC also protects the machine against fluctuating mains voltage and makes them safer to use with a generator. They can operate with extra long mains cables, over 100 metres to give a very large working radius.

The Tradestigs are available with either simple or more advanced control panels for complete welding control. Both have all the necessary functions to weld TIG (DC), with HF-start or LiftArc™, and MMA. The Tradestig 220 has two memories to store all settings and users can switch between the memories from the panel or from the torch trigger, even when welding.

-The Tradestigs are equipped with the latest ArcPlus™ II for MMA welding and can weld most metals including alloyed and non-alloyed steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The Tradestig 150 can use electrodes from 1.6 to 3.2mm, whilst the Tradestig 220 welds most electrodes up to 4mm. Both control panels have the latest regulator to provide a smooth and stable arc that is easy to control and give better weld quality with less need for post weld treatment.
